BEER MENU

“Beer, if drunk in moderation, softens the temper,
cheers the spirit and promotes health.”

– Thomas Jefferson

BELGIAN FARMHOUSE TRADITION
Our admiration for the history and tradition of farmer/brewer coupled with our agricultural surroundings will grant us many opportunities to utilize local botanicals, herbs and fruits to create various barrel aging projects and seasonal offerings. With these beers, we will seek to express our rich agricultural community, and our affinity for the agricultural traditions that inspired so many of our beloved Belgian brewing techniques. These beers will be very limited and available in bottle conditioned 750ml bottles and 1/6 BBL kegs.
HOPPY ALES
One of the most crucial aspects of Brotherton Brewing's philosophy is that variety is the key to avoiding monotony, and to constantly push our craft further, both for ourselves and as a way to stimulate the sensory experience of everyone drinking what we're brewing. Hops are a sensitive ingredient and are the most expressive domestic product we have for beer. This is why we will have a rotating selection of ales made in the same beautiful style we make all of our hoppy beers and will be rotating our selection as often as possible. These beers will take full advantage of the gorgeous variety of aromatic qualities the magical hop plant creates for our enjoyment! This will keep our minds creative, and keep the beers coming to your glass as fresh as can be to ensure maximum hop-love is experienced.
ROTATIONAL / SEASONAL
Seasonal beers are usually made with ingredients or characteristics of the time of the year brewed. It could be the flavors that dominate or could be based on the make-up of the beer itself. For example, summer beers are light and refreshing, winter beers dark and complex. Fall and spring beers fall somewhere in the middle. Seasonals often incorporate holiday-specific flavors and can be paired with particular seasonal foods. Most are driven by the growing season by incorporating ingredients that typically become available during different times of the year.
GERMAN INSPIRATION
Germany’s great history of brewing dates back over 1,000 years. Throughout the centuries, German brewers created a number of different styles of lagers and ales, all while following the Beer Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot) that mandated all beer can only be made from barley, hops and water. Many of the American beer styles we have grown to love were originally brought over from the UK and based on those traditional styles.
